DottChat is an AI-powered chat and communication product operated by DottSocial LLP. This Privacy Policy applies to all platforms and channels through which DottChat is accessed or distributed, including but not limited to mobile applications (Google Play Store, Apple App Store), web-based interfaces, WhatsApp Business Platform, and any third-party integrations.

By accessing or using DottChat on any platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Depending on how you access DottChat, we may collect the following types of information:

We do not collect passwords, financial account numbers, government-issued ID numbers, or sensitive health data.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain DottChat across all platforms
• Personalise and improve your experience within the product
• Respond to your queries and deliver support
• Send transactional and service-related communications (e.g. confirmations, alerts, updates)
• Analyse usage patterns to improve product features and performance
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or policy violations
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your data for serving third-party advertisements or sell your data to any third party.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors who assist in operating our infrastructure (cloud hosting, analytics, customer support tools), bound by confidentiality obligations
• Business Clients: If DottChat is deployed by a business on their behalf, your interactions with that deployment may be accessible to that business's authorised personnel
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, court order, or government authority in any applicable jurisdiction
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with appropriate notice provided

When DottChat is accessed through specific platforms, additional terms of those platforms also apply:

• Google Play Store: Subject to Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement and Google Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store: Subject to Apple Developer Program License Agreement and Apple Privacy Policy
• WhatsApp / Meta: Subject to WhatsApp Terms of Service and Meta Privacy Policy

DottSocial LLP complies with the data handling requirements of each platform through which DottChat is distributed.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Conversation and interaction data is typically retained for up to 90 days from your last active session, after which it is securely deleted.

You may request deletion of your data at any time. See Section 7 for details.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These include encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), access controls, and periodic security reviews.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately at privacy@dottsocial.com.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your data
• Right to Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data

DottChat is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or such higher age as required by the laws of your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

DottChat is operated from India. If you are accessing DottChat from outside India, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in India, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using DottChat, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where required, notify you through the platform you use to access DottChat. Continued use of DottChat after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
